Hey Mark, I just had a concern about the local libraries closing here pretty soon. I know that the meadows branch is all ready closed, but I think it really stinks to high heaven that the other branches are closing in the next few weeks. The libraries are really cool and convenient to go check out not only books, but DVDs, CDs, and get on the computer and check out the internet. I for one do not have a computer, just like a lot of people out there in Terre Haute, etc., so this really makes things tough on people like me, because I mainly check my emails and the like on the computers at the local libraries. I saw you talk about your blog, etc. the other night on news 10 and I thought I’d just send you an email just to let you know that a lot of people out there are frustrated about losing their libraries, and another thing that’s really frustrating is the fact that 14 people are going to be losing their jobs over these recent closings. I was pretty disappointed that a few people in this city didn’t step up to the plate financially and help keep these libraries open. There are a handful of people out there in Terre Haute that have the means to do so, but obviously chose not to. Well, I hope that things will get better financially for not only Terre Haute, but everybody affected by the economy, the only thing is, like the old saying goes, things will get worse unfortunately before they get better. Thanks again Mark, I hope this email does some good. Take Care, Craig Banta from Terre Haute, IN.
