A Couple of Interesting Weather Links

September 20th, 2011 at 8:09 pm by under Weather, WTHI Blog

Here are a couple of the weather links that I was talking about on the news this evening.  I found them to be an interesting read and you might as well.

The first link is the updated tornado totals in Central Illinois over the past sixty years and was the basis for my weather quiz question this evening.  http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ilx/?n=tor-climo

This second link is about the anniversary of the second longest tornado track in Indiana history set on this date just a few years ago! http://www.crh.noaa.gov/ind/?n=sept20_2002tor

And this last link is about learning how to be better prepared for tornadoes and what was learned after the deadly Joplin, MO tornado earlier this year.  http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2011/20110920_joplin.html
