Venus Transit This Evening

TONIGHT! Beginning at just after 6pm EDT, Venus will cross the disc of the Sun. The last time this happened was in 2004. Given that, this is an extremely rare event. Transits occur in pairs, so the next pair of transits won’t happen until 2117.
