In The Clear Here + Tropical Update

August 29th, 2012 at 9:05 am by under Weather

It’ll be another mostly sunny day across the Wabash Valley as an area of high pressure remains in control. Temperatures will be rather warm topping out in the upper 80s later this afternoon. Expect another clear and cool overnight as temperatures fall back near 58°. Sunny conditions remain through Thursday but it’ll get just a bit hotter with highs reaching the lower 90s.

Changes move in for Friday as remnants of Hurricane Isaac travel into the Midwest. For now, Isaac is slowly moving on shore across Mississippi and Louisiana. It has sustained winds near 80 mph and a pressure of 970 mb.

Rain showers and storms are likely both Saturday and Sunday which could lead to localized flooding here in the Wabash Valley. Anywhere between 2″-6″ of rain is possible according to the latest model data. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the situation.
