Tuesday Storm Risk

July 9th, 2013 at 12:58 pm by under Weather, WTHI Blog

Just after the midday newscast today, the Storm Prediction Center extended the ‘slight risk area’ for severe storm potential south to include the entire Wabash Valley.

With an unstable atmosphere and HOT afternoon temperatures fueling storm development, there is a potential some storms could reach severe limits later today.

While these stronger storms will be on a very isolated basis, strong wind gusts and hail are possible.

Severe Risks

The Wabash Valley is also under a slight risk for severe storms tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned to Storm Team 10 both on-air and online at wthitv.com for the very latest weather information.

I heard from my sister-in-law that there are so many trees down across 63N that it is unpassible. My husband works in Terre Haute and that I should call him to tell him to take 41N to 36W to get to our home in Hillsdale.
