A Pleasant Start To AugustAugust 1st, 2013 at 8:20 am by Lindsey Monroe under Weather, WTHI Blog
If the old saying that says the number of morning fogs in August equals the number of snows we have in winter, we’re already at 1. It’s been a foggy start to what will shape up to be a very pleasant start of August.
Look for a mix of sun and clouds with high temps near 82. The trend of below average temps in July continues right on into August and climate forecasts see this theme continuing for the next few weeks.
For tonight, skies become mostly clear allowing temperatures to be a tad cooler. We’ll drop back near 59. Clouds will build in throughout the day on Friday with occasional rain showers possible as well. High temps in the lower 80s.
The best chance of rain will be moving in during the overnight hours Friday into Saturday morning then scattered showers and storms stick around off and on throughout the day on Saturday. Highs top out near 83 then cool down to 78 for Sunday when the rain moves out.
