We broke a low temperature record in Terre Haute this morning hitting -1° (previously 0° set back in 1917). We will continue to see well below average temperatures looking ahead as well.

Today & Tonight: We’ll rebound to the mid 20s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. For tonight, another clear and cold overnight with lows near 15.

Snow showers move in during the late afternoon hours and will continue through the overnight and into Saturday.

Preliminary snowfall potential looks to be around 3″-5″ along and north of the I-70 corridor and up to 3″ south. Lesser amounts south due to a chance of snow mixing with rain Saturday afternoon. The system exits by Saturday evening and cold air returns Sunday.

Extended Outlook: We dry things out for Sunday and temps turn colder again. A quiet weather pattern sets up for next week with partly cloudy skies expected.
