A winter weather advisory is in effect until noon Wednesday over southwest sections of Indiana.

A winter storm warning is in effect for much of the rest of Indiana until noon Wednesday.

Snow will continue Tuesday night with total snowfall ranging from 4 to 5″ in the advisory area to 5 to 7″ in the warning area.

Wind gusts up to 35 mph will cause significant blowing and drifting snow. Much colder temperatures will arrive Tuesday night with lows expected in the low to mid-teens and wind chills to -5 degrees.

Snow and wind gusts will continue into Saturday morning. Friday night’s low is expected to be in the mid-20s. Winds out of the northeast with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Saturday Morning: Snow showers and wind gusts continue, turning into flurries by mid-morning. Temps will remain in the mid-20s. Northeast wind between 15 to 20 mph, but gusts will reach up to 30-35 mph.
